Meet & Greet Family Social (Aug. 22, 2013) — All new and returning FMS families are invited to campus to meet their child’s teacher, drop off school supplies and socialize.

 

Patriot Day (Sept. 11, 2013) — We honor those who lost their lives on that fateful day. We sing the National Anthem, invite local police and firefighters and read poems of heroism.

 

*Back to School New Parent Coffee (Sept. 13, 2013) — FMS parents both new and old are welcome to attend. Come meet our new FMS families and welcome them to our amazing school. Located in the multipurpose room.

 

*PTO General Meeting (Sept. 17, 2013) — Join us at the amphitheater at 6pm (pizza provided). We would love for you to get involved!

 

*Family Hike (Sept. 27, 2013) – Meet at FMS at 3:30pm. We will caravan over to a nearby trail. Bring snacks and plenty of water.

 

*Parent-Teacher Conferences (Oct. 3 & 4, 2013) — PTO will provide snacks and activities for the students during the conferences and lunch for the FMS staff.

*Fall Festival (Oct. 11 2013) – A fun-filled family event including carnival games, delicious treats, contests, raffles, dancing, crafts and more! Please contact the PTO if you are able to volunteer for this memorable annual event.

 

*Teacher Potluck — Provided by P3 & P4 Families

 

*Movie Night (Nov. 15) – Come watch a family-friendly movie at our outdoor amphitheater! Bring snacks and blankets and we will provide the entertainment!

 

World History Day (aka International Children’s Day) (Oct. 24, 2013) — Students travel throughout many different countries and continents (classrooms) and explore the food, dress, traditions and games of these vibrant cultures.

 

*Kids Holiday Crafts (Nov. 21/22, 2013) – Children can sign up to make surprise holiday gifts for friends and family.

 

*Holiday Bazaar (Nov. 22, 2013) — Support the FMS community and stock up on holiday gifts.

*Mother/Son Minute to Win It (Jan. 24, 2014) — A chance for mothers and sons to spend some quality time together, playing games and enjoying snacks!

 

*Teacher Appreciation Week (Feb. 3-7) — A week where we show our appreciation of our hard-working teachers!

 

*Father-Daughter Dance (Feb. 21, 2014) — FMS fathers and daughters enjoy an evening for just the two of them. Get ready for dancing, dinner and a memorable night.

 

*Book Fair/Dr. Seuss Day (Mar. 3-6) – Look for many fun activities this week while shopping for your child’s favorite books!

 

*Teacher Luncheon (Mar. 17) – Provided by E5 & E6

 

Earth Day (April) — Every grade level takes on a project to help the Earth.

 

*Family Fun Run (April 5, 2014) — A PTO-sponsored 5K fun run fundraiser for the whole family. It was such a huge success we have decided to do it again! Look forward to many heart-healthy activities leading up to this wonderful event!

 

*PTO General Meeting (April 29, 2014) — Join us at 8:30AM for a general meeting.

Mother’s Day Tea (May 9, 2014) — Every class hosts a very special tea party to celebrate mothers.

 

Dads and Donuts (TBA) — Students spend the morning with their dads, feasting on donuts and showing off their science projects.

 

Field Day (June, 2014) — All classes are invited for some serious outdoor fun, including games, water play and snacks.

 

Music Performances (TBA) — Every class sings, dances and plays instruments in one performance per year for their families.

 

*Teacher Luncheons — Each class is assigned one month a year to spoil our teachers with a beautiful luncheon. Sign up to bring one item on the date assigned for your child’s classroom. A Sign Up Genius will be sent from your classroom.

 

Broadway Jr. Musical (TBA) — Past performances include “Seussical”, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Into the Woods.” Stay tuned for this year’s smash hit!

 

Birthday Circles — Every child’s life is celebrated on their birthday. The child walks around the “sun” as many years as they have been on this earth. Families are invited to share photos and stories and the class enjoys a birthday treat.
