Welcome Back Night (Aug. 23, 2012) – All new and returning FMS families are invited to campus to meet their child’s teacher, drop off school supplies and socialize.

 

Patriot Day (Sept. 11, 2012) – We honor those who lost their lives on that fateful day. We sing the National Anthem, invite local police and firefighters and read poems of heroism.

 

International Children’s Day (Oct. 25, 2012) – Students travel throughout many different countries and continents (classrooms) and explore the food, dress, traditions and games of these vibrant cultures.

 

Fall Festival (Nov. 2, 2012)  – A fun-filled family event including carnival games, delicious food and a DJ.

 

Father-Daughter Dance (Feb. 8, 2013) – FMS fathers and daughters enjoy an evening for just the two of them. Get ready for dancing, dinner and a memorable night.

Earth Day (April) — Every grade level takes on a project to help the Earth.

 

Family Fun Run (April) — A PTO-sponsored fun run fundraiser for the whole family. More details coming soon!

 

Mother’s Day Tea (May 10, 2013) –  Every class hosts a very special tea party to celebrate mothers.

 

Dads and Donuts (TBA) — Students spend the morning with their dads, feasting on donuts and showing off their science projects.

 

Field Day (June 3, 2013) – All classes are invited for some serious outdoor fun, including games, water play and snacks.

 

Music Performances (TBA) — Every class sings, dances and plays instruments in  one performance per year for their families.

 

Broadway Jr. Musical (TBA) — Past performances include “Seussical”, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Into the Woods.” Stay tuned for this year’s smash hit!

 

Birthday Circles — Every child’s life is celebrated on their birthday. The child walks around the “sun” as many years as they have been on this earth. Families are invited to share photos and stories and the class enjoys a birthday treat.
